Cummings Africa Foundation (CAF) routinely makes donations of health supplies and medicines to institutions providing health care services in Liberia—including those in rural communities. During the COVID-19 National Emergency, CAF raised $70,000 and procured critical health and hygiene supplies as part of its overall efforts to respond to the crisis, among other activities such as food distribution. In 2017, CAF mobilized USD $565,000 worth of medical supplies and equipment in two forty-foot containers targeting six hospitals throughout Liberia. The hospitals that benefited from CAF donations included:
• J.J. Dosen Memorial Hospital, Maryland County

• C.B. Dunbar Medical Center, Gbarnga, Bong County

• Government Hospital, Buchannan, Grand Bassa County

• C.H. Rennie Hospital, Kakata, Margibi County

• Curran Lutheran Hospital, Zorzor, Lofa County

• Gbeapo Health Center, Fish Town, Rivergee County
